Rob began his career in 1992 at Hilliard Lyons after graduating from the University of Kentucky. In 1998, Rob moved to Morgan Keegan where he went on to become a senior vice president and eventually a managing director of the firm. He was also the branch manager of the Lexington Kentucky office for Morgan Keegan from 2008 through November 2016 and led the office through the transition of the merger when Morgan Keegan was acquired by Raymond James in 2012.
Rob holds his series 7, 9, 10, 31 and 66 licenses as well as his insurance license. He also has obtained the Wealth Management Specialist, Certified Retirement Planning Counselor® and his Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designations. With 30 years in wealth management, Rob offers comprehensive financial planning specializing in asset management, retirement income planning analysis, estate planning and tax advantaged wealth transfer strategies. Rob takes pride in helping individuals and their families identify their monetary objectives and develop a plan to actively and efficiently pursue their goals. Rob also has partnered with the Atlanta Consulting Group to help institutions and non-profits manage their assets and adhere to their IPS and spending policy. Rob was named to the 2021, 2022 and 2023 edition of the Forbes list of Best-in-State Wealth Advisors*.
Rob remains active in the Lexington community serving on the board of the Lexington Cemetery after serving for many years on the board of The Lexington School, Greenhouse 17 and the High Street – YMCA. Rob and his wife, Kelly, were also past co-chair the LexArts campaign for the city of Lexington.
Rob and Kelly have three daughters, Carter, Clay and Smith. When not spending time with his family, Rob enjoys traveling the great outdoors and spending time on the golf course.
